These products are SAVING my dry skin!

My skin has been looking healthy and moisturized lately, so I figured it was time that I sit down and just honor the products working their daily magic. I have been using this trio for about a month now- and LOVE it. The good news is that the face wash is very affordable – unfortunately, the hydrating serum (which I think makes the biggest difference) is crazy expensive…

Products ordered by application:

1. Simple Micellar Facial Gel Wash – $5.99 – (Target)

2. Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum – $49.00 – (Sephora)

3. La Roche-Posay Toleriane Double Repair Moisturizer – $19.99 – (Target)

Some general thoughts about each:

Left: La Roche-Posay Moisturizer – I bought this on sale at Walgreen’s one day because I knew that La Roche Posay sunscreen was loved by pretty much everyone, and I’ve always want to try a cool french pharmacy brand. This is as no frills as it gets. The consistency is right in the middle – it doesn’t feel light, but it definitely isn’t thick. This has no smell- I did some research on this and it is actually an award winning moisturizer, and is safe for sensitive skin! One of my best friends has the MOST sensitive skin so i’m always very mindful of low cost, effective, options.

Middle: Simple Face Wash- I’m obsessed. Seriously, this is by far one of the least drying facial washes I think I’ve ever used. The consistency is very slippery and watery and I’m in love.  Another cool thing: this face wash has no fragrance or dyes. At $5.99 I would really recommend anyone with dry skin to try this.

Right: Caudalie Quenching Serum- Ugh. It’s always kind of the worst when you fall in love & can’t imagine your life without a product that’s stupid expensive. This product does have one huge fault- you go through it so quickly! I use two pumps morning and night and I’ve had it since November 9th. That’s almost exactly a month and it’s about 1/3 full. I just did some math and the results are heartbreaking.

Let’s say one bottle lasts me 1.5 months.
(one year)12/1.5(months per bottle) = 8 bottles needed a year.
8 (bottles) x $49.99 = $400/ yr on JUST this serum.

With that bleak math:

1.  I’m going to have to cut it back two one pump night and day or a two pump application AM or PM

or

2. I just live without this magical serum…

That’s all! I’m off to cherish my remaining days with my amazing (ungodly expensive) serum!

Happppppppy Holidays! (If you’re a family member or friend who happens to read this and is looking for gifts… just saying! )
